Kari will travel to Belize to study coastal ecosystems and the impact of invasive species such as lionfish. She will use what she learns there to connect math and science learning to real environmental challenges by helping students see how issues affecting Belize’s reefs also relate to Jacksonville’s waterways and coastline.
